Solideal Opens New Warehouse
For Sri Lankan tyre manufacturer Solideal, 2006 is proving to be an important year for its growth in the UK. After two record sales years the company has invested in a new warehouse facility in the heart of the UK. Located in Stafford, the 57,000 square foot facility is perfectly positioned to meet the distribution demands of its customers.
Relocation of the stock was completed by the end of July with no interference in the day-to-day operation of the business.
“Now we can truly offer the finest service in the UK. Our range of top quality, natural rubber tyres is available right here in the centre of the country. We are only 4 miles from junction 14 on the M6 close to distribution hubs for the national carriers which are all located in the Midlands. This will give us an advantage in terms of being able to take and process orders later in the day” says Solideal UK’s managing director, Len Sambrook.
Solideal has grown to become a leading manufacturer and distributor of industrial and construction equipment tyres throughout the world. With factories in Sri Lanka, China and Serbia, the product range includes pneumatic, resilient and press on tyres, wheels and rubber tracks. Solideal is a world leader not only in terms of sales, but also in innovation, technology and logistics, with its technical headquarters located in Belgium.
The company offers the complete spectrum of product to users of solid tyres with a low cost option and mid range alternatives. But without doubt the flagship of the range and, says Solideal, possibly the finest industrial tyre available today, the Magnum is being adopted by more and more suppliers of new industrial fork trucks.
In addition to its range of solid tyres, Solideal is now a major player in the supply of Construction pneumatic tyres and Mini digger rubber tracks, supplying famous names such as JCB, Komatsu and Caterpillar
