Kwik-Fit Appoints New Business Development and Marketing Director
Kwik-Fit has named Chris Bosworth as business development and marketing director. Reporting to CEO Ian Fraser, in this newly created role Chris Bosworth will be responsible for all Kwik-Fit’s brand development strategy as well as all external and internal communications, including its high profile TV advertising campaigns. Prior to joining Kwik-Fit Bosworth was customer delivery planning director at Orange UK. Reporting directly to the COO, he was responsible for a £600 million subscriber acquisition and retention budget as well as channel strategy and web-channel development.
His business development remit – a role he has covered as business development director since the beginning of 2006 – entails new product development; leveraging potential synergies amongst Kwik-Fit Group companies; exploring potential acquisitions; and external partnership opportunities.
As well as working for two years at M&C Saatchi as Group Business Planner, Bosworth spent three years at McKinsey & Co. as an engagement manager working on various projects across a number of consumer sectors.
Kwik-Fit CEO, Ian Fraser, commented: “Chris’ appointment underlines our commitment to refining our brand positioning across both existing and emerging markets. There are powerful synergies between the business development and marketing disciplines at Kwik-Fit and it makes sense to combine these into a single role. Chris has been highly effective as business development director and is ideally qualified to take on and succeed in this wider role.”
Chris Bosworth added: “This is a tremendously exciting opportunity. Kwik-Fit is one of the best known brands in the UK and I look forward to developing and promoting the Kwik-Fit brand as well as identifying external opportunities for future growth.”
