Continental to Give Audi Q7 Some Grip

After comprehensive tests, Audi opted to fit is first ever SUV (the Q7) with three tyre lines made by Germany’s leading tyre manufacturer. Continental will be supplying summer and cold weather tyres for the vehicles in five sizes and dimensions ranging from 18 to 20 inches

Audi’s new SUV, which has a top speed of 248 km/h (155 mph) and a maximum power output of 350 hp (257 kW), will be fitted with Continental’s high-performance ContiCrossContact UHP tyre. Versions of the Q7 for the US market will come with rugged Conti4x4Contact tyres, which are also suitable for light off-road driving.

Audi will also be recommending the Conti4x4WinterContact for the Q7, as this tyre ensures extra safety on all-wheel-drive vehicles during cold winter months. This tyre is available from Continental as an 18-inch option, approved for speeds up to 210 km/h (131 mph).
