Amtel-Vredestein Launches Winter Tyres at Moscow Auto Show
Amtel-Vredestein N.V. is to introduce its latest products for the first time in Russia at the Moscow International Motor Show 2006 (30 August to 10 September.) Tyres to be spotlighted include the Vredestein Sportrac 3, Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta, the new Amtel NordMaster ST-310 and the Amtel NordMaster CL winter tyres.
All the leading international and Russian car and automotive components producers will be at the exhibition, staged at Crocus-Expo Centre, supported by the international organisation OICA. Amtel-Vredestein will demonstrate its new Vredestein UHP, ultra high performance tyres produced by Vredestein Banden B.V., Amtel-Vredestein’s subsidiary in the Netherlands, as well as its mid-price range Amtel winter tyres.
The company says it will introduce new Amtel winter tyres. According to the company, the studded Amtel NordMaster ST-310 tyre is designed to ensure grip on fresh snow. It features a wide zigzag profile perpendicular to the driving direction and circumferential grooves with cutting edges for road grip and steering control. All treads feature concentrated zigzag patterns, which are said to substantially shorten the braking path and acceleration time, preventing slipping and skidding.
Amtel describes its second winter tyre (the NordMaster CL) as a quiet and soft tyre for comfortable and safe driving. “The tyre’s tread pattern incorporates the best qualities of previous models in the series,” company officials said in a press statement.
