Tyretorque.com Reports Rapid Growth
Tyre Torque.com has reported a 25 per cent growth in business for the second quarter of 2006. Having started the year with a first quarter that delivered growth of 2 per cent less than target, the company is said to be delighted with the record growth achieved in the second quarter.
Sales and marketing director Chris Dawson is buoyant about the Tyre Torque success story: “Our performance in the second quarter of 2006 is fantastic. We have been steadily building on our first years’ business. We know that customers using our site want tyres now, not next week and we are able to satisfy that requirement. We update our stock position every few hours, which means our customers are able to see what we have in stock and available that day. Our promise is that if tyres are ordered before 12 noon, we will get them to the customer for the next working day and customers are absolutely delighted with that.
“We also get great customer feedback about the site saying that it is a pleasure to use. We like to keep it simple with as few distractions as possible so customers can look for size or make and, if it’s listed then we have it for immediate dispatch. The price they see is the price they pay no add-ons unless it is to a non-mainland or Scottish Highland address both of which attract a small surcharge for carriage. It is very gratifying to get e-mails from customers saying what a fantastic service we provide. We think part of our success is that we don’t try to be anything other than a supplier of tyres – we don’t confuse the issue by offering other goods or services. If customers are shopping around on the net for tyres, they are only looking for two things: the tyres they want and a great price. Judging by our growth this year we are providing both.”
