OE Accreditation for Maxxis ATV Tyres
Leading all terrain vehicle manufacturers Honda, Yamaha, and Polaris have accredited Maxxis as an OE tyre supplier for products sold in the American market. While Honda has specified Maxxis for its TRX90 model, six Maxxis patterns are now accredited for use on the Polaris Predator 500, Predator TLD, Hawkeye 2×4 and Hawkeye 4×4 sold in the USA. Maxxis is also OE accredited by Yamaha for a wide range of its US specification Bear Tracker, Bruin, Big Bear, Kodiak, Wolverine and Rhino models.
“Maxxis is the number one tyre manufacturer operating in the ATV sector and being approved as an OE supplier for the US market by three top manufacturers is an exciting development for us,” says Maxxis International UK managing director Derek McMartin. “It should mean we will see OE accreditation on Honda, Polaris and Yamaha ATVs extending to the UK in due course, as well as increased aftermarket demand here.”
It is estimated that between 10 and fifteen thousand new all terrain vehicles are sold each year in the UK by comparison with 250,000 to 300,000 in the USA.
