MAM to Launch New Website and Online Support
MAM Software has launched a new website (www.mamsoft.co.uk) on 1 August. In addition to providing access to the latest news and information on the company and its range of products, the website will feature a dedicated customers-only extranet section. This section will provide existing MAM customers with a range of free resources such as online log tracking, product tutorials, frequently asked questions and software downloads.
“We recognise that our customers want more than just telephone-based support,” explains Robin Darnell, MAM’s director of support services. “Customers want access to information from their own PC’s, 24 hours a day. So we’re developing a suite of innovative Web-based tools and applications that will provide convenient self-service options to help them become more self-sufficient.”
A range of initiatives are being developed to help existing users maximise the benefit from their software. These will include frequently-asked questions, animated product tutorials, printable manuals and online development request forms. In addition, MAM’s website will also include a new online support system.
“From a simple web browser interface, customers will have direct access to our own log-tracking system,” explains Darnell. “Armed with the relevant username and password, they will have secure access to information that was previously only accessible by calling a technical support representative. This includes the ability to view the status of open logs, create new logs
or add notes to existing logs.”
“These exciting new developments make the website much more than just an online brochure,” continues Darnell. “They are additional steps towards providing extended support to our thousands of customers. Last year we increased the opening hours of our service desk to 7:00 to 18:00 Monday to Friday and extended our coverage at weekends. Online support will complement these services and will enable our customers to access practical information or raise logs 24 hours a day, seven days a week.”
Access to the extranet and its range of support options will be free to MAM customers with a current support and maintenance contract. Users will require a username and password, which can be gained by e-mailing register@mamsoft.co.uk.
