M-Class Features Sporty Tyre Set-Up
The second generation Mercedes-Benz M-Class continues to set the standard, using a new tyre set up from Bridgestone that is said to offer a sportier ride without compromising high speed stability or on-the-road comfort.
The classy SUV bears all the hallmarks of the ground-breaking mark one M-Class that paved the way for modern off-roaders following its launch in 1997 – majestic looks, stunning performance, a stylish interior and masses of load capacity.
For drivers wanting to make the most of the extra power of the new M-Class range, Bridgestone’s comfort-orientated Turanza ER30 tyres are now available as an optional larger rear wheel fitment. The 285/45 R19 set-up enables the SUV to show-off its sporting pedigree in conjunction with a 255/50 R19 front tyre. The 255/50 R19 is also available as a standard fitment for both front and rear.
The Turanza is a premium touring tyre specifically designed for luxury saloons and SUVs, fusing pampering and performance without sacrificing handling characteristics. The ER30 is a leading tyre in the range.
Other features on the new M-Class include 7G-TRONIC, a unique seven-speed automatic transmission that is fitted as standard on all models; a more effective 4-ETS four-wheel drive and traction system, which now features a Downhill Speed Regulation and off-road ABS; an improved AIRMATIC air suspension system; and PRE-SAFE, a revolutionary anticipatory occupant protection system that pre-empts accidents before they happen by automatically adjusting devices such as seat belts, backrests and the anti-lock braking system.
The load capacity of the new M-Class is a class-leading 2050 litres, which means there is plenty of room for storage as you hit the road to try the new tyre set up for yourself.
