Leading UK Independents Win with Truck Tyre Inspections

Every month InfoRoute Truck Tyre Manager (TTM) processes tyre inspection details for over 8,000 trucks and trailers across the UK. Dexel, one of the larger UK independent tyre companies with nearly 40 truck tyre service vehicles, has used TTM for over two years. A team of three inspectors use TTM to find and organise work, ensuring that fleets are economically and safely managed.

Downloading details of vehicles that need inspection from the Internet via mobile phone saves tyre inspectors’ travelling time. The hand held Inspector Unit works “offline” so inspectors are free to capture tyre details wherever they need. Tyre conditions, depths and faults transmit as soon as inspections are completed via InfoRoute Internet servers ensuring 24/7 operation. Action reports, detailing work required generate automatically. They print in the service manager’s office, can be viewed on the Web by any authorised individual, or be forwarded by email or fax.
