Kraiburg Shows New EM Products
Retreading specialist, Kraiburg used the Essen show as a launch pad for its new range of earthmover (EM) tyres. According to the company, Kraiburg’s new range covers the entire retreading process of tyres for use in quarries, mines and other similar applications – including for example dump trucks, wheeled loaders, road graders and mobile cranes. “Practical tests conducted in a large open cast mine have already successfully proven the performance and effectiveness of the Kraiburg compounds,” company representatives told Tyres & Accessories.
As a result, the retreading specialist is confident that it will also be successful in this segment over the next five years thanks to more than 50 years of expertise and “the Kraiburg philosophy,” – reliability, partnership, quality and service. The objective being to meet the increasing demand of the EM tyre market and to generate additional turnover by joining forces with selected partners.
In addition to the company’s new EM range, Kraiburg launched two new designs using the Kplus 30 compound. These were the KZY2G Kplus 30 tyre and the KDA2e-20.5. The KZY2G is offers three tread grooves and is said to be ideally suited for punishing surfaces such as rubble and gravel, whilst also producing good traction on road surfaces. The new Kraiburg plus design, which is now available in a 250 mm width and 18 mm tread depth, can be used on the 80 series on all freewheeling and traction axles.
From the end of the second quarter, customer looking for products suitable for long-distance applications may be interested in the new KDA2e-20.5 Kplus 30 tread. This product is said to have enhanced mileage potential, made possible by three millimetre deeper tread depth (compared with the previously available KDA2e) and the high net-to-gross ratio. Thanks to its optimised smooth-running properties and its low rolling resistance, this Kplus 30 tyre is the right partner for the 70 and 80 series – whether this be in a 250, 260 or 270 mm width.
“We were using the appearance at the Reifen 2006 exhibition specifically to present our product portfolio and our range of services”, explains managing director Dr. Andreas Starnecker. “We are very pleased that we could demonstrate to our existing customers and naturally also to prospective new customers that Kraiburg – as an independent supplier – is the reliable partner in Europe they can count on when it comes to high-grade material for mould cured and pre-cured tyres coupled with selected services.”
