Heuver Banden Distributes Expanded Aeolus Range
The Chinese-manufactured Aeolus range of truck tyres first appeared on European markets in 2004, since when they have gained a reputation as a value-for-money product. Research and Development is on-going and the range has been enhanced by the introduction of new radial profiles on existing tyres and the addition of ten new tyres to the range.
Dutch wholesaler Heuver Banden is the importer of Aeolus tyres for six major European markets and manager Jan Heuver was delighted to have examples of the new tyres on display at the Reifen 06 exhibition, saying: “We can now give our customers an even better return on investment for their truck tyres.”
He went on: “The range is now in line with the trend we’re seeing with European brands, where the height/width ratio is increasingly leading to lower tyres. This creates many practical advantages, because it decreases the total tyre mass. There are new 60 series tyres for trucks as well as 50 and 55 series for trailers.”
Because the lower series tyres save weight, the payload can be increased, hence the improvement in return on investment, but Jan Heuver stresses that there has been no compromise in other factors, such as safety, durability or rolling resistance. He describes Aeolus as “Breaking into the elite of worldwide tyre producers,” adding: “The introduction of another 10 new types makes our supply range even more complete and competitive.”
Alongside the enhanced range, Aeolus has introduced a new logo, which was unveiled to customers at the Essen show. Aeolus was established in 1965 and its tyres are now exported to more than 100 countries.
