Goodyear Dunlop Increases Marketing Focus
Goodyear Dunlop Tyres UK Limited has announced the appointment of Mark Dilks as Brand and Market Planning Manager. Dilks will be responsible for developing the brand and market strategies for the company’s wide range of consumer tyre brands, including Goodyear, Dunlop, Fulda, Falken and Sava.
According to the company, the new role has been created to increase Goodyear Dunlop’s focus on optimising the product, pricing, promotion, marketing communication and channel strategies to maximise the sales, profitability and market share of the consumer brands. Dilks will head the brand team with Ben Crawley and Simon Durston-Smith, Brand Support Managers for Goodyear and Dunlop respectively, and Kevin Deakin, Market Analyst, reporting to him.
Dilks, 37, brings nearly two decades of automotive marketing experience to the role from previous positions at ExxonMobil Europe, where he was responsible for pan-european advertising and promotions, and at Volkswagen Group, where as Product Manager, he led the successful launch of the Audi A3 in the UK. He will report to Neil Burrows, Marketing Director.
