Continental Investing in Romania Tyre Distribution Centre

(Akron/Tire Review) Continental AG is working with German air-freight specialists Dietrich-Honold Logistik and Honold Logistik Group has started the construction of a tyre distribution centre near Timisoara, Romania. The centre is planned to service Eastern Europe and Central Asia.

The planned 50,000-square-meter facility will cost approximately 20 million euros when completed. “The investment in a distribution hub is a logical outcome of the positive development of the Eastern European tyre market. Our goal is to answer as promptly as possible to the demands of our customers and partners. The choice of the location was made precisely with this in mind,” said Andreas Huck, CFO of Continental Automotive Timisoara.
