B&J Rocket: Changing Times
Over the past two years since the last Reifen show, B&J Rocket, the buffing blade inventor, has developed from a well-known but slightly old-fashioned company, to a young, modern and highly productive manufacturer and sales company, according to general manager Andreas Müller.
He explains: “We invested not only in our factory facility to maintain a reasonable price level and combat the raw material and energy cost price-explosion facing the industry, but we also changed our structures on the sales and service side. For example we now process all orders with the latest computer technology. Also new members of staff have been recruited to provide a technical service to customers in Europe.”
How was Reifen 06 for the company? The short answer seems to be “very good.” Says Müller: “During the show the feedback that we received from our customers confirmed that the measures we implemented have been well received. Also, while many companies in the retreading field noted reduced activity during the show, the B&J stand was very busy all day long.
“Some of this was because we were displaying several new inventions, namely Super Patriot Carbide (new and innovative carbide type), the Duro Max III Buffing System (an optimised buffing system for convex buffers such as the Matteuzzi RAS 90) and B&J Buffing Kits (specially designed buffing tool kits for tyre repair stations).”
In addition to the interest shown in the products, the B&J Team on the stand in was kept busy answering questions from customers on the spot. Whether it was a technical, production or sales related issue, there was a specialist from B&J on hand to provide the answer.
Andreas Müller paid tribute to those customers who supported B&J Rocket during its time of change and he said: “Special thanks too to all of our customers who made Reifen 06 so successful for B&J Rocket.”
