Michelin Announces North American Price Hikes
(Akron/Tire Review) Michelin North America (MNA) plans to implement price increases on all of its brands and lines in the coming months. The increases, ranging from 2.5 per cent to 5 per cent, cover replacement tyres sold in Canada and the US. MNA will boost prices on its Michelin, BFGoodrich, Uniroyal, associate and private brand replacement passenger and light truck/SUV tyres in the US by up to 5 per cent as of 1 August.
Prices on US replacement medium truck tyres under the Michelin and BFGoodrich brands will jump by up to 5 per cent on 1 August, and pricing on retread rubber sold in the US will increase by 4 per cent effective 1 June. OTR tyres sold in the US, Canada and Mexico will see price increases of up to 4 per cent as of 1 July, and replacement agricultural tyre prices for tyres sold in the US and Canada will go up as much as 2.5 per cent as of 1 July.
