Marangoni Launches Extensive Training Effort
(Akron/Tire Review) Marangoni Tread North American (MTNA) says it has made training a priority for 2006 and beyond, launching its Ringmaster Training Program this year for MTNA retreaders. In the two sessions already held, Ringtread retreader production and sales staff traveled to MTNA’s Nashville headquarters for seminars and hands-on training.
“One way we can contribute to the growth and profitability of our dealers is to empower their retread manufacturing staff with technical training and their sales personnel with professional selling skills and data,” said Marge Connors, MTNA’s sales development manager. “Dealers whose employees are the most knowledgeable, quality focused and service oriented will be the most successful and bring value to their market.”
Earlier this year, the company hosted a “Ringmasters Plant Manager Summit” for plant managers from MTNA’s 23 North American retreaders. The focus of the session was tailored to equipment maintenance and troubleshooting. “With the continued effort to automate the Ringtread system process, our machinery becomes more sophisticated and complex,” Connors said. “Plant managers and equipment operators must have the expertise to improve and maintain their production schedules.
“We identified specific challenges faced in the retread plants of today and offered specific solutions to overcome these challenges,” she said, “with focus on electrical and software fundamentals.”
On the sales side, MTNA hosted 32 commercial salesmen from its US dealer network for a day and a half sales training program.
In addition to the training sessions, both groups toured MTNA’s production facility.
