Hankook Shows Off its New Stand in Essen
Sometimes an exhibition can be like a meat market – every company is showing off what it has to offer. This is also true, in a positive way, for Hankook Tire. This year the Korean manufacturer not only presented its brand new stand in hall three – the most important hall – but also allowed visitors to get an impression of all the segments the company operates in. “With our presence in Essen we want to display our product competences,” says Benedikt Preussner from Hankook’s German distribution company. By this token not only Hankook’s attractive exhibition hostesses were eye-catchers but also the considerable product portfolio on display.
Lined up between a German Porsche police car and a Ferrari 360 Spider from technology partner and tuner Hamann Motorsport, Hankook showed its new Ventus R-S2 which is the latest motor sport tyres for road applications. Hankook also emphasised its UHP tyre segment – all tyres of 55 series and below and of 16 inches and above. Hankook’s established flagship tyre is the Ventus S1 evo. It is now available in 33 new dimensions, the Korean manufacturer explained during the Reifen show. Among these new dimensions there is also one of Hankook’s patented run-flat system, HRS. Another new tyre which was launched in Essen is the Optimo K415. The Hankook Ventus Prime – a test winning tyre – was also displayed. All in all Hankook showed a good mix out of its product portfolio.
There was also news from Hankook’s truck tyre range. The manufacturer launched truck tyres in 445/65 R22.5, 445/45 R19.5 and 385/55 R22.5. The first dimension is sold with the M+S rated “Radial AM02” tread pattern for mixed trailer applications. The second and third dimension will be available as a “Radial TH10” tread pattern for regional trailer applications.
