Goodyear is $3 billion Underfunded

Due to a gaping hole in its pension fund, Goodyear is anticipating the prospect of paying at least a minimum of US$550 million into the fund this year. According to DB Global equities the company could face additional funding requirements in 2007 and 2008, and is currently underfunded by as much as $3 billion.
