Delphi has announced the appointment of Brian Lavery as commercial director for Delphi Product & Service Solutions in the UK. Based at Delphi’s UK headquarters in Warwick, Lavery will be responsible for ensuring the company’s sales and market share targets are met. He will report to Gael Escribe, sales and service director, Delphi Product & Service Solutions, Europe.
Lavery was previously managing director for EQS Europe, where he was responsible for business development activities and increasing sales and market share. His appointment is part of a strategic initiative to increase Delphi’s presence in the UK aftermarket.
“Brian has proven experience in delivering results under tough market conditions,” said Escribe. “His vision and drive will play an important part in ensuring that Delphi meets its growth targets in the UK and we are delighted to welcome him to the organisation.”
Several key changes have also taken place within the company’s European marketing team. Kevin Kelly has been appointed service technology manager, Delphi Product & Service Solutions, Europe and will be responsible for the development and implementation of Delphi’s growth strategy for service technology across Europe. This key role includes the provision of the best training, technology support and garage retail schemes for customers.
Kelly will be replaced by Mark Heard who has been appointed marketing manager, Delphi Product & Service Solutions, UK and will report to Ian Voce, Delphi Product & Service Solutions business line director for chassis, thermal and vehicle electronics. In addition to his local duties, Heard will assume responsibility for branding activities related to product packaging globally and anti-counterfeit measures across Europe.
To fill the role vacated by Heard, Delphi has also announced the appointment of Sara Stephenson as brand and communications manager for Delphi Product & Service Solutions. Based at Delphi’s European headquarters in Paris, Stephenson will be responsible for the design and implementation of Delphi’s aftermarket brand strategy for Europe, and will focus on identifying opportunities for more effective use of the brand and communications within the region. She will report jointly to Lucia Moretti, managing director, Delphi Product & Service Solutions, Europe, Middle East & Africa, and Mike Rayne, managing director, Delphi Diesel Aftermarket.
Stephenson was previously key account manager for FUJITSU Consulting France, where she was responsible for developing the company’s automotive business in France, including a number of product developments and launches.
“These appointments confirm Delphi’s commitment to the aftermarket”, commented Moretti. “Our teams are dedicated to providing our customers with the best range of products and solutions for their business and these changes will help ensure that this continues into the future, building on the excellent progress Delphi has made over the last few years.”
