TIA Hires Director of Membership
The Tire Industry Association (TIA) announced the hiring of Megan Schwartzmeyer as director of membership. To meet the growing demands of the membership department, Ms Schwartzmeyer will focus on membership sales and services.
“We are excited about Megan joining the TIA membership department,” said TIA executive vice president Roy Littlefield. “With Megan’s experience we are looking forward to seeing continued growth in the area of membership and member services.”
Megan comes to the TIA from the Washington, Maryland and Delaware Service Station and Automotive Repair Association (WMDA) where she served as the group’s director of membership for the last two and a half years. In her position with WMDA, Megan was responsible for new membership recruitment, retention, programs, and services. She participated in the Mid-Atlantic Aggregation Group Independent Consortium, where she worked with nine other associations to secure stabilized electric pricing for customers in the deregulated state of Maryland.
Ms. Schwartzmeyer earned a Bachelors of Arts degree from York College of Pennsylvania in York, Pennsylvania. She majored in Public Relations with a double minor in Marketing and Speech Communications. In addition, Megan is also a graduate of the Walt Disney World’s Accredited Collegiate Programme.
