Recycling Success Story
Recycling Success Story
In the waste industry there is an increasing demand for turnkey waste processing solutions that not only meet technical demands, but also exceed business goals. But how can you manage well-established companies from different areas, to work together and keep their own egos in the background? Synmet has the answer. Established in 2002, the Synmet Group represents five brands: Artech (size reduction), BHS (disc screens), BOA (balers), Hidding (screening) and Nihot (air technology). The synergy has many advantages for the customers in various ways. Within Synmet, the brands combine engineering expertise to take on technological challenges and produce innovative solutions. Synmet adds financial back-up and expertise.
One of the core businesses of the Synmet Group is tyre recycling. Companies who already invest in this, invest in their future. In many countries government penalise landfill and the improvement of recycling creates new markets for the recycled products. These developments make tyre recycling more and more profitable and an attractive business in which to work.
Artech is the tyre recycling specialist within Synmet. Since 1993, the company has developed and marketed a wide range of shredding systems. Artech’s systems have gained a worldwide reputation for strength and reliability (both in terms of performance and high output quality), ease of use, low cost of ownership, and excellent return on investment – from Canada to Russia, from Sweden to Romania.
Regarding tyre recycling, Gert van Laar – CEO Synmet – says: “Our customers recycle tyres to generate valuable output. We develop entirely custom-made systems, all internationally, that means the systems are adapted to the relevant laws and relations of the specific country.” The turnover figures (48 billion euros) back up this philosophy.
Tyre recycling can produce output from RDF to pure pulverized rubber and valuable steel. Synmet offers customized solutions based on customer specific requirements – from basic shredders to adjustable 3-stage shredding and separation systems, even systems incorporating integrated air technology. Synmet is not bound by its own products. The only thing that matters is which solution is the best for the individual customer.
