4500 Visit Aftermarket Show
New figures released by The Aftermarket Show event organisers, Haymarket Exhibitions, show that more than 4500 aftermarket trade visitors attended the event in January of this year. In 2006, The Aftermarket Show was monitored closely and this research has brought about a number of changes to the event in 2007, one of which is the new trade two-day exhibitor package.
Since its inception, the event has evolved to deliver an unrivalled mix of visitor, delivering a near equal share of independent garages/fast fits, motor factors and accessory retailers.
Looking more deeply at the demographics, 27 per cent of the event visitors were owner/managing directors, with the second largest visitor group being technicians with 23 per cent.
Even more positive were the results from The Aftermarket Show’s trade visitor surveys, which concluded that: 95 per cent of visitors said they had a good experience from attending, 83 per cent of visitors rated the event as an excellent place to meet exhibitors and buyers and, 82 per cent of visitors expected to purchase from exhibitors following the event.
Steve Coombes, The Aftermarket Show Project Manager, said: “We have taken our time in releasing feedback and figures from the 2006 event, as we want to be accurate in our approach to the market and also the 2007 event. The evidence shows clearly that the trade is embracing the Aftermarket Show more and more each year and therefore we will continue to focus on our key strengths and introduce new initiatives that will only help develop the event further in 2007.
The 2007 Aftermarket Show takes place from 11 to 14 January at the NEC Birmingham. The event runs alongside Autosport International, which boasts an attendance of up to 93,000.
