New Products from Beissbarth
Beissbarth has introduced two new products for workshops. The first of these checks the alignment of the car’s propeller shaft. Drivers of high performance and quality cars demand smooth and efficient rides but part of the problem may lie in the state of the propeller shaft. Even slight buckling can lead to vibration of the drive train or roughness in acceleration.
Until now, measuring the propeller-shaft alignment has only been available by mechanical devices. But now Beissbarth is offering customers the Romess CM-09935, an electronic measurer that checks the inclination and alignment of the propeller shaft, while providing information for increased accuracy, speed and simplicity in the workshop. The measuring range is + or – 15º horizontally and + or – 7.5º vertically.
Beissbarth UK’s managing director Philip Hodges says the propeller shaft accuracy is often overlooked: “In our attempts to keep vehicles in their prime of performance many factors are taken into consideration, yet the condition of something as fundamental as the propeller shaft is often forgotten unless it has been explicitly damaged. The Romess CM-09935 brings the propeller shaft right back into the workshop and into its appropriate place within the assessment of a car’s performance.”
The second new product takes the guesswork out of precisely when brake fluid should be changed.
Most brake fluid testers only check the electrical conductivity of the fluid. The Romess Aqua 12 DIGI measures the exact boiling point of brake fluid that determines when the brake fluid has to be replaced.
The compact electrical unit contains a probe in a closed pressure cell that is heated up to a specific temperature. The measuring simulates the exact conditions in the wheel-brake cylinder. Results are shown on an LCD display and can be transferred to a laptop or PC for print out.
Because the unit offers a technically superior method of fast and accurate measurement, Beissbarth says that it provides a cost effective service to workshops, and the promise of peace of mind to their customers.
