Stock Market Interest in Kelani Tyre

In Sri Lanka, the past week has seen considerable interest in trading in the shares of Kelani Tyre and, as a result, the company’s share price rose by 18 per cent.

7.4 million Kelani Tyre shares were traded during the week, worth Rs 109.6 million (2.03 million Euros). The interest is because Kelani Tyre is expected to revalue its assets and a Rs 300 million (5.56 million Euros) expansion plan is in the pipeline.
