Ryder Extends Contract With Bridgestone and Truck Point
Bridgestone and Ryder have announced a further extension to their partnership. This involves a contract extension well into 2007. Under the arrangement, Bridgestone UK will supply replacement and retread truck tyres and tyre services though its national Truck Point service network.
Greg Ward, Bridgestone UK Commercial director, said: “Our long-term relationship with Ryder and our ability to offer a comprehensive service package of original equipment, replacement and retreaded tyres as well as value-added services are key to this new agreement. We are delighted that our partnership with Ryder has been extended again.”
Chris Deevey European purchasing manager Ryder plc, said he was “delighted” that the two companies had agreed to extend their contract agreement: “This takes our relationship with Bridgestone & Truck Point into its 10th year, Bridgestone are focused on providing cost effective product and service solutions to Ryder”
Bridgestone says it offers a complete range of products and services to the leading European rental, logistics and distribution fleets including a full range of original equipment and replacement tyres. In addition, the company’s cradle-to-grave tyre solutions and Truck Point service network includes responsive pan European break down service, retreading, and tyre management tools.
