Motaquip Wins RAC Parts Supply Contract
Aftermarket parts supplier Motaquip has reached an agreement with the RAC motoring organisation to become a National approved parts supplier to the company’s network of breakdown patrols.
The partnership will deliver strong support and improved access to parts for the 1,500 RAC patrols operating nationwide and the RAC based its decision to appoint Motaquip on the strength of the company’s national factor network, the extensive product range available and Motaquip’s ability to provide centralised administration.
Ken Clark, contracted services manager at RAC, said of the agreement: “It is vital that the RAC is able to get its customers back on the road as quickly as possible. Our patrols will never be able to carry every part they require on the back of their van and we saw a second national supplier as essential to sustaining and increasing our service levels and supporting our ‘just in time’ strategy. Our agreement with the Motaquip factor network will ensure that our patrols enjoy their best ever access to quality parts and can source them more quickly and easily wherever they are required.”
