Kirkby Tyres operates from a three-acre site in Liverpool, close to John Lennon airport, and has grown to become one of the largest wheel and tyre wholesalers in Europe. For most of the UK, next working day delivery of stock items is the norm.
The company has long-standing links with major players in the international tyre and wheel markets, which means that it can obtain products from a variety of sources.

One of the fastest growing areas of the company is the Wheel and Original Equipment Division. This was formed in response to the rapid changes in the tyre industry and the ever-growing demand for more specialised tyres, especially in the agricultural and industrial sectors. More sophisticated vehicles with higher speeds and greater load bearing capacities are being developed and they require wheels to meet these increasingly-demanding requirements.

Kirkby’s technical advisors work closely with the R&D engineers at Alliance and Mefro Wheels, who not only train Kirkby’s own personnel but assist manufacturers and tyre dealers to select the right tyre and wheel for each application. Standard industrial, truck and farm wheels are held in stock at all times.

Specialised wheels can be manufactured, usually by Kirkby’s own workshop, to suit most applications within 14 days, and the fitters work 7 days a week to keep complete assemblies rolling.

Kirkby also supplies OE customers such as JCB and many other major OE customers with tyres, wheels and complete assemblies.
