GSF’s Newcastle Branch to Open With ‘Bubbly’ Car Wash
GSF Car Parts has unveiled its new Newcastle-upon-Tyne branch, opened as part of the company’s 2006 expansion drive. The Newcastle branch opening is the second tier of the GSF Car Parts 2006 expansion programme, following on from the Canterbury opening, earlier this year.
GSF Car Parts will officially celebrate the opening of Newcastle’s doors on Saturday, 25 March with bubbles galore – but not of the champagne variety. Instead, the team at GSF Newcastle have organised a dedicated charity ‘Bubbles’ car wash to raise funds for the Newcastle charity, The Bubble Foundation which supports the children’s Bone Marrow Transplant Unit at Newcastle-upon-Tyne General Hospital. The unit treats babies and children with immuno deficiencies by bone marrow transplantation.
In addition to the proceeds raised from the day’s activity, GSF Car Parts will match the total amount of charitable funds that are raised on this day and will also donate 10 per cent of the day’s takings from the Newcastle GSF branch to ensure the grand total is boosted further.
Gary Brooks, GSF Newcastle branch manager commented: “The GSF Newcastle team is fully committed to providing the local Newcastle community with an extensive range of quality products and car parts, with the highest level of customer service. We also have the capability to service the surrounding areas also. Our priority is to give a little something back to the local GSF customers but also to the wider community – the ‘Bubbles’ charity car wash is a great way to be able to engage with local residents but also to raise funds for a very worthwhile cause.”
Gill Johnston, Fundraising Manager for The Bubble Foundation added: “We are very grateful for the support that GSF Newcastle branch is giving the Bubble Foundation. The money raised will provide medical equipment, parent support and much needed research into better ways of saving the lives of these precious children.”
