Great & British Head to Snetterton
All roads lead to the Snetterton race track in Norfolk for the inaugural round of the Dunlop ‘Great & British’ Festival series. Spectators will see drivers of Radical, Ginetta and Mini race cars battle it out in the opening round of their respective championships.
The Dunlop ‘Great & British’ festival brings the respective championships together under one banner and highlights from each round will be shown on Sky Sports TV. The event gets underway on Saturday morning, the first wheels turning at 9:00 am with the day dedicated almost entirely to qualifying and the first race of the meeting, starting at 5:00 pm.
Sunday is race day, twelve races beginning with the Dunlop Radical Biduro all the way through to the final race the PlayStation 2 Ginetta GT Junior race. In between the Minis, Radicals and the Classic Touring Cars will all roar around the historic Snetterton racetrack.
“Having four of Britain’s best supported one-make championships on the same programme is a recipe for non-stop action. We’re proud to be associated with these championships, the teams and their drivers. Our aim at Snetterton is to get the content and on-track programme right, and then increase the off-track entertainment throughout the season. It is our first race event so it will be a weekend of learning, but shows that Dunlop and the British Automobile Racing Club are committed to putting national motorsport back on the map,” stated James Bailey of Dunlop.
