Goodyear Uses Radio To Spread Wet Weather Message
Goodyear has been aiming to help reduce the risks associated with the traditional April shower by promoting wet weather safety on the radio. Goodyear has been tackling this head on with a series of interviews promoting wet weather safety on radio stations up and down the country. After all, 32 per cent of road accidents occur in the wet.
As part of the radio campaign Goodyear targeted a host of radio stations from BBC Radio Cornwall in the south up to Aberdeen’s Wave FM to spread the seasonal message of wet weather safety with a series of interviews highlighting the dangers of wet driving in the April Showers period. These interviews followed Goodyear HydraGrip winning the latest tyre test of the German magazine Auto Motor und Sport, part of Europe’s most popular network of car magazines.
“With 160 days a year of rain, consumers in the UK require a tyre they can rely upon in wet weather conditions,” explains James Bailey, corporate communications manager, Goodyear UK. “The differences in wet performance shown by the HydraGrip are staggering with latest independent tests showing the tyre’s stopping distances in the wet equating to approximately the length of three small family cars. Our Goodyear HyrdraGrip really shows a true commitment to road safety through innovative tyre design.”
