Fulda to Exhibit at French Car Show
Fulda has announced it will exhibit at this year’s French Car Show to be held at Bruntingthorpe Proving Grounds on Sunday 28th May 2006. The UK’s only all-French Car Show will entertain a massive variety of standard, performance and modified cars with over 45 French car clubs, 80+ traders and over 10,000 true enthusiasts expected.
Fulda Tyres and Performance GTi Magazine have teamed up to provide the live skills test track. Here volunteers will be put through their paces on the track on their standard tyres before being fit with Fulda Exelero, their latest Ultra-High-Performance tyre to see the difference.
By developing a compound with relatively low elasticity, Fulda’s development engineers optimised the tyre to road adhesion with the Exelero.
A new high-performance carcass provides safe handling. Special attention was paid to achieving high stability as well as predictability of the tyre’s behaviour. A stable carcass will deform less under heavy braking or cornering. This not only has a positive effect on the tyre’s grip but also on the response of the tyre.
The Exelero builds on Fulda’s high reputation in the ultra-high-performance tyre sector with the tyre possessing a patented design which combines a directional tread pattern with a more traditional six-rib design. This combination leads to a harmonious balance between handling stability and aquaplaning resistance.
“As we continue to build our reputation in the ultra-high-performance tyre sector, this show provides the perfect opportunity for us to demonstrate the performance of our Fulda Exelero tyre,’ explains Matthew Bowell, PR Support Manager, Fulda. ‘The live skills test track will give drivers the experience of driving on Fulda Exeleros and comparing it to their own rubber. This comparison will illustrate the benefit Exelero can bring to a vehicle.”
