Maxxis Trepador 4×4 Has Competition Pedigree
The Maxxis bias ply M-8060 Trepador competition tyre has enjoyed considerable off-road success – so much so that Maxxis has developed a radial version for day-to-day use. The M-8060 Trepador radial is designed to combine excellent traction with smooth handling and is available in 37×12.5 17, 37×12.5-16 and 40×13.5-17 sizes.
An aggressive directional tread element arrangement ensures a uniform tread contact area for sure-footed handling on all wet and dry surfaces, while the multi-stage staggered shoulder lugs give added control on uneven terrain, especially boggy ground and snow.
Multi-curve tread siping not only improves traction on loose dirt, but also enhances braking and driving performance. A double steel belt construction improves puncture resistance and provides long-lasting wear and uniformity, while a jointless spiral-wrapped full nylon cap boosts strength and stability.
The Trepador radial is the latest in a comprehensive range of Maxxis 4×4 tyres. This includes the Maxxis MA-S1, which is S- and H-speed rated and has a unidirectional tread design and two polyester body plies. It is an all-terrain tyre, as is the MA-S2, which comes in nine V-rated sizes and also has a unidirectional tread.
Two other all-terrain tyres are the Maxxis MA-751 and MA-752. Both these feature a double steel belt and heavy-duty sidewalls. The sidewall of the MA-752 features raised, white lettering.
For those enthusiasts who are seriously into off-road driving, Maxxis has a number of mud terrain tyres. The MT-753 has excellent self-cleaning properties and a rugged construction, while the MT-754 is possibly the most popular Maxxis 4×4 tyre. It features a premium rubber compound and siping designed for all weathers, while the extra strong, durable casing resists punctures and abrasion.
Finally, for the most demanding off-roaders, there is the Maxxis MT-762, which has good traction in mud and superb handling on hard terrain. The tyre can be studded if required.
Maxxis 4×4 tyres are available from UK wholesaler Group Tyre, with deliveries up to three times a day.
