ContiTech Buys Conveyor Belt Operation
The ContiTech Conveyor Belt Group, Northeim, is buying the conveyor belt operations of the Danish company Roulunds Tech A/S, Odense, subject to the approval of the antitrust authorities. In the special conveyor belt sector, Roulunds Tech A/S posted sales of approximately 10 million euros in 2005. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
“With this acquisition, we are strengthening our Industry and Engineered Products segments,” says Hans-Jürgen Duensing, who is in charge of the ContiTech Conveyor Belt Group. “The products of Roulunds Tech are a sensible addition to our assortment. We are now in an even better position to help our customers with all their conveyor belt needs. At the same time, we are expanding our global presence.”
ContiTech Conveyor Belt Group is a specialist for conveyor belts and conveyor belt service material with global operations. The business unit of ContiTech AG posted sales exceeding 300 million euros in 2005 with a workforce of approximately 2,500. The company has production facilities in Germany, Chile, China, Greece, India, Mexico and Hungary.
