BEN Appoints Head of Welfare

BEN, the Motor and Allied Trades Benevolent Fund has appointed Fiona Gorman to Head of Welfare effective 1 February, following the departure of its deputy director care services in December.

Fiona Gorman joined BEN in 2003 as Welfare Officer for the South East region. She will be responsible for BEN’s welfare services and regional welfare offices, which support over 15,000 people in the community.

Jenny Brown, Director of Care Services, said: “I am confident that Fiona’s appointment is a very positive step for BEN. She has plans to develop and enhance the scope of BEN’s welfare service, which will be good news for our colleagues in the industry who experience challenging and difficult situations. We wish her every success in her new role.”
