Busy at Beissbarth
These are busy times at Beissbarth UK. First of all there have been two new additions to the Microtec wheel balancing range. The versatile Microtec stationary micro processor controlled wheel balancers feature nine different programmes for passenger car and light trucks up to 65 kilos, with two programmes for motor bike wheels.
Key features of the MT 825 Wheel Balancer include foot pedal brake to fix the balancing shaft, three alloy programmes, three special programmes and two PAX. There are two LED for imbalance direction indicators and two LCD for digital imbalance and status information. The 825 comes complete with an aluminium weight caliper tool for manual fitting of adhesive weights on the inside of the rim.
Additional features on the 825D include the electronic Easyfix data recording arm, designed for maximum efficiency and speed, which measures rim diameter, distance and weight position. A match programme for reduction of the total imbalance of the wheel works by compensating the static imbalance of the tyre with that of the rim.
Headlight tester
Beissbarth UK has also secured the exclusive rights to market and service LET Headlight Testers in the UK and Ireland. The news comes at a time when many of the existing Headlight Testers in the UK are overdue for an upgrade due to the change in testing requirements. The headlight test is the most common failure of all MOTs, including HGVs.
Beissbarth UK’s managing director, Philip Hodges, says the LET Headlight Testers PLA 20 and PLA 5 offer every VOSA and DP testing station a prime business opportunity to secure advanced technology. He commented: “Headlights have evolved over the last 20 years, with the biggest design and technological advances happening in the last three years. The Beissbarth Headlight Tester gives every Testing Station and MOT Testing Station the opportunity to be up to date with today’s and tomorrow’s technology.”
Brake tester approval
The final piece of news is that, after many months of rigorous trials Audi Volkswagen AG has approved the Beissbarth Brake Tester VAS6360, which surpassed all test standards, including changes for the Audi Q7.
This endorsement affirms Beissbarth’s industry lead as holder of the highest number of approvals says Philip Hodges.
Beissbarth’s brake testers can be incorporated into a full working test lane, complete with side slip examination, shock absorber testing, and a noise detection unit, saving expensive and time-consuming test drives. The introduction of the Automated Test Lanes (ATL) will create a unique market position for Beissbarth as the premier ATL supplier.
Favoured for its user-friendly and cost-effective features, the ATL also produces full colour, easy read test results for presentation to the customer. Beissbarth UK manages the whole process of delivery, assembly and installation, together with professional onsite training for all technical staff.
