Maxxis Helps Keep Costs Down
With operating costs – particularly fuel prices – constantly rising, operators of vans and light trucks have seen margins sharply diminished. Remaining competitive with no reduction in customer service levels is a constant challenge, whether a small fleet or one or two vehicles, and one in which tyres can play an important part.
John Church, chairman of Group Tyre (UK) believes that Maxxis van and light truck tyres address this need, saying: “Operators are demanding tyres that combine high mileage with the compounds to withstand the punishment of stop-start driving, the ability to manoeuvre easily in tight spaces, soak up the inevitable scrapes and bumps of kerbing, make light of unmade surfaces and still provide performance and handling for long motorway hauls.”
Two tyres in the Maxxis portfolio, the UE-168 Commercial LT and the MA-751 Bravo series, meet these demands, says Group Tyre, while helping to cut operating costs by offering Value Per Mile.
The UE-168 is aimed at the growing number of Sports Trucks and Pick-Ups on our roads. It has a rib-type tread design with deep shoulder grooves for all-season performance. A double steel belt ensures good wear resistance and uniformity, while the premium rubber compound and extra plies resist cuts, punctures and abrasions. The UE-168 is R speed rated, with 70 and 80 aspect ratios and for rims from 12 to 16 inches.
The MA-751 Bravo offers light truck users toughness and reliability. It also has a double steel belt for strength and a large tread block pattern for optimum traction on all terrains. It is R speed rated and comes in 70 and 80 aspect ratios for rims from 13 to 16 inches.
