Kraiburg Aims to Boost Customers’ Productivity
Focusing attention on maximum possible productivity becomes vital in difficult economic times in order to boost competitiveness. Besides high-quality retreading materials, Kraiburg Austria also provides its customers with expertise and business services, aimed at boosting their productivity.
In addition to just-in-time delivery, the retreading specialist’s service pack includes individual process analyses and software solutions as well as a customised turnkey project service – a module that Kraiburg Austria has been offering for a decade and has been gradually expanding. Customers have been quick to take advantage of this service and the five-strong Retreading Facilities team, headed by project manager Dieter Hasenkopf, has installed five facilities this year alone.
The turnkey project service includes various different modules: planning, procurement, delivery, assembly, commissioning and training. The motto of the Retreading Facilities department is “a one-stop service”. Kraiburg takes care of everything – naturally after consulting the retreader at every stage. This means that he is involved in every step of the planning or layout phase. Once it has been established exactly what his company needs, Kraiburg then develops a customised solution – be it for hot cure or precured retreads. Thereafter, the Kraiburg team takes care of the procurement of machines, the dismantling of the “old” facilities and, if necessary, also overhauls the machines.
“We offer the customer a choice between new and used machines,” explains Kraiburg department head Dieter Hasenkopf. “And we do so regardless of manufacturer, because unlike most of our competitors we do not restrict ourselves to a single machine series.” This flexibility is to the customer’s benefit, often allowing him to reduce the necessary capital commitment to a significant degree. This way Kraiburg offers its partners around the world complete facilities – and of course their employees receive in-depth training from Kraiburg following installation. But the service doesn’t stop here either, as the company also offers follow-up services.
Together with the colleagues at the Technical Support Centre, the Retreading Facilities team can, if the customer so requests, also see to the procurement of spare parts or the maintenance of the facilities.
