JK Exports at £46.9 million
(India/Rubber Asia) JK Industries Ltd has reported a net profit of 170 million rupees on a gross turnover of 24 billion (£294.7 million) for the year ended 30 September. JK recorded a net profit of 120 million rupees for the same period last year. Tyre exports stood at 3.82 billion rupees (£46.2 million).
For the quarter ended 30 September, JK registered a net profit of 190 million rupees (20 million in the year-ago period) on total revenues of 6.77 billion. A top JK official, AK Kinra, said he expected the bottomline of the company to be “significantly better” during the current fiscal. This optimism stems from a number of factors including availability of additional tyres (thanks to additional capacity) and reduction in international petro-product prices.
