GPX International Tire Corporation has announced that Donna Lynn DiSpirito has joined the company as the new director of quality.
As an ASQ certified quality manager, certified six sigma black belt, senior examiner for the MA quality award, and a lead auditor for both ISO 9001 and TS 16949, Ms DiSpirito has extensive experience in integrating quality practices with production demands within a broad range of industries.
Ms DiSprito will be charged with the task of ensuring quality processes and procedures are fully developed and adhered to throughout GPX’s outsourced and owned manufacturing facilities in Asia and Europe. GPX is committed to maintaining a leading position in terms of production quality and operational efficiency in order to continue delivering world-class tyres and wheels to the market.
Ms DiSpirito has extensive experience of providing hands-on services and strategic counsel to a diverse group of blue-chip manufacturing companies. She was director of Quality for the Cole Hersee Company, a manufacturer of electromechanical switches and devices for the trucking and marine industries. She has also held management positions in the electronics industry (H.C. Stark, Inc.), plastics and adhesives (Applied Extrusion Technologies; Bostik, Inc.), and the chemical industry (Monsanto).
Donna Lynn DiSpirito holds an MBA (Delta Mu Delta – Financial Honour Society) from Suffolk University, a Six Sigma Black Belt from Villanova University, and a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Boston College.
GPX International Tire Corporation was formed in 2005 through the merger of Galaxy Tire and Wheel of Boston, with Dynamic Tire of Toronto, Canada. GPX manufactures tires under the Galaxy and Primex brands. GPX also sells medium radial truck tyres, radial off-the-road (OTR) tyres and wheels throughout the world. GPX has operations in Asia, Europe and North America with 2005 revenue predicted to exceed US $300 million.
