Fulda Exelero to Perform Race of Champions

Following on from the success of the MPH show, the Fulda Exelero feature in a Drift Team demonstration run by Collins Autosport Ltd at the forthcoming Race of Champions at the Stade de France in Paris.

The Race of Champions pitches the best circuit racers against the best off road drivers in the world to determine who is the fastest. Using identical equipment and track, drivers can prove themselves based on their talent alone and a packed Stade de France will see the winner rewarded with the title “The Champion of Champions.”

International racing drivers Ben Collins and Terry Grant will be there to lift the excitement levels up another notch by drifting a TVR and a Legend in front of the packed Stade de France in a display of precision, speed and power. Fitted to the vehicle will be Fulda tyres specifically developed for high-performance and tuned vehicles.

The Fulda Exelero meets the requirements of sporty drivers and delivers the precision, control, handling and overall performance required to display the abilities of the Drift Team. By developing a compound with relatively low elasticity, Fulda’s development engineers optimised the tyre-to-road adhesion meaning more control for the driver.

The high performance carcass of the tyre was developed with the current generation of high performance sports cars in mind. Special attention was paid to achieving high stability as well as predictability of the tyre’s behaviour. A stable carcass will deform less under heavy braking or cornering. This has not only a positive effect on the tyre’s grip but also on the response of the tyre making the steering input more predictable and reassuring for the driver.
