Bridgestone Competition Winner
Bridgestone has announced the results of its pan-European competition to win an Actros truck. The competition, which attracted entries from hundreds of feet operators from 14 countries, was won by German logistics company Aug. W. Bode GmbH, based at Bad Salzuflen.
Entrants were required to answer a series of questions about Truck Point, Bridgestone’s network of independent truck tyre dealers, in order to be in with a chance of winning the Actros 1848 truck, equipped with Bridgestone MegaDrive tyres and its associated Aircept system.
Carsten Overbeck, MD of the winning company, was surprised and delighted at the news, saying: “It’s not every day that one gets a new truck as a first prize.” Second prize-winners were awarded coupons worth 500 euros for the purchase of Bridgestone or Firestone tyres from the Truck Point network. A further 100 fleets received third prizes of radio-controlled mini trucks.
The competition ran from April to June and was part of the company’s drive to raise awareness of Truck Point as a provider of tyres and total tyre management to transport professionals across Europe.
