Viking Appoints Marketing Manager
Viking International has appointed a new marketing manager to its team.
Karen Welden who will be based in Stockport, joined Viking International from the Country Range Group, a buying consortium of 16 independent food wholesalers serving the catering trade.
“My entire marketing background is in wholesaling but I’ve spent the last seven years in the food industry. It was time for a change of direction and joining the tyre industry with Viking International provided the perfect opportunity to transfer my knowledge and experience from one industry sector to another.
“This is a very exciting time for Viking International as they have been developing a number of strategies to further develop and improve the range and service they provide.
“My initial focus will be on private brand development with an exciting new initiative due to start early January next year as well as concentrating on our e-commerce strategy and the evolution of our Tyre Expert programme” commented Welden.

Karen’s appointment will now provide the additional focus required to implement a number of exciting new marketing opportunities that will see Viking continue to set new standards in our industry.”
