T&A Expands Global Consortium
Canada’s Tire News and Pneu Mag, published by Publications Rousseau & Associes, have joined the global tyre publication consortium formed by Europe’s Tyres & Accessories and Neue Reifenzeitung with America’s Tire Review nearly a year ago.
With the addition of the Canadian magazines, which cover all aspects of Canada’s tyre industry from coast to coast, the consortium now encompasses eight highly respected tyre publications. Besides Tire Review, Tyres & Accessories and Neue Reifenzeitung, the group includes Southern Africa Treads (South Africa), Rubber Asia (India) and Australian Tyre Dealer (Australia).
Consortium members share information and editorial content – including news items, feature articles and interviews – on a continuing basis for use on their respective Web sites and printed magazines. In addition, the publications work together on specific projects for which a global perspective is required.
Klaus Haddenbrock, publisher of Tyres &
Accessories and Neue Reifenzeitung added: “This move further demonstrates our intentions to provide our readers with the best news from all the world’s most influential markets. Working with the professional staff from Tire News and Pneu Mag ensures that we are able to inform readers of the developments in the complete North American market.”
Remy Rousseau, publisher of Tire News and Pneu Mag commented: “This is an exciting opportunity, and we are proud to join such a strong collection of outstanding tyre industry journalists and leaders. While each of our respective countries is its own unique marketplace, the tyre industry – and we are all tyre people – has become a global marketplace. There is no doubt that by being a part of this group, our readers will benefit by gaining a new perspective.”
“We are pleased and excited that Publications Rousseau (based in Longueuil, Quebec) led by publisher and editor Remy Rousseau, has joined our consortium,” said Jim Smith, editor of Tire Review. “The staff of Tire News and Pneu Mag will surely contribute a wealth of knowledge and insight that will only make our collective understanding of the global tyre industry even greater,” said Smith.
