Pirelli North America Receives ISO Certification

Rome, Georgia-based Pirelli Tire North America (PTNA) has received ISO 9001:2000 accreditation and ISO/TS 16949:2002 technical specification. Guy Mannino, PTNA’s president, was informed at the recent SEMA Show in Las Vegas that the company had been awarded the coveted certification.

“It is very important for Pirelli Tire to continually improve its Quality System objectives,” commented Paolo Ghirga, Pirelli Tire’s Director of Quality. “UNI EN ISO 9001:2000 provides the foundation of our Quality System while ISO/TS 16949:2002 provides the basis of our perseverance in design, production and sales of tyres for passenger cars and light trucks. As with all of our operational goals, we are continuously working to exceed the expectations of our customers; always striving to be the “best of the best” especially with regard to providing a quality tyre with quality service.”
