Michelin Announces a Series of Price Hikes
(Akron/Tire Review) Michelin North America (MNA) announced that it is increasing prices on a variety of tyre lines. MNA is raising prices on all of its Michelin, BFGoodrich, Uniroyal and private and associate brand replacement passenger car and light truck tyres by up to 8 per cent. That increase will take effective in the US as of 1 February 2006 and in Canada as of 1 March 2006.
Prices on MNA’s Michelin and BFGoodrich replacement medium truck tyres will increase from 4 per cent to 7 per cent in the US as of 1 February 2006.
Michelin brand replacement OTR tyres will see an increase by an average of 8 per cent in North America effective 1 January 2006, and prices on Michelin branded replacement agricultural tyres will increase from 3 per cent to 7 per cent for all replacement tyres sold in Canada and the US as of 1 January 2006.
Prices on Michelin aircraft tyres will increase by an average of 6 per cent worldwide effective 1 January 2006.
