Hi-Q Offers Winter Car Health Checks
Hi-Q, is offering free motoring health checks this winter in an effort avoid the kind of car problems that leave drivers out in the cold. With this winter forecast to be one of the coldest in over a decade, many more demands are going to be made of drivers and vehicles.
Marketing manager, Nikki McCluney believes a check from one of Hi-Q’s experienced technicians can help prevent some of the potential difficulties associated with a sharp change in the weather. “Winter makes heavy demands on our vehicles. Cold starts, icy or wet conditions, and shorter days all take their toll and if not prepared, drivers can get caught out. Hi-Q’s winter health checks will help motorists ensure their cars are in the best possible condition so that key safety features such as brakes, lighting and steering are all ready for the demands of winter driving.”
Hi-Q also has battery-testing equipment installed at all of its stores. A 10-second test examines both the condition of the battery and the charging system, and can help prevent motorists getting caught out by a flat battery on an icy morning.
“Every winter over 100 cars every hour break down due to a flat or faulty battery. People come out of the house early in the morning, jump in the car and turn the ignition key only to find their battery is flat and the car won’t start. Drivers can prevent many of these types of problem simply by coming along to Hi-Q to take advantage of our free winter health check.” concluded Nikki McCluney.
