Goodyear Assurance Gets First OE Fitments
The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company has announced that its premium auto tyre, the Assurance featuring ComforTred Technology, has been chosen as original equipment for its 2006 Chrysler 300C, Dodge Magnum R/T and Dodge Charger R/T models. Goodyear’s supply of ComforTred tyres for these high-image cars represents the first original equipment position for the tyre line, regarded as the most successful new product launch in the company’s history.
Goodyear engineers said the Assurance ComforTred tyres (size P225/60R18) were tested and tuned for the vehicles on Goodyear’s 7,250-acre test facility in San Angelo, Texas. The Assurance ComforTred was originally introduced as an aftermarket tyre in early 2004, and quickly became a popular choice for consumers who wanted comfort, quiet and peace of mind.
“From the beginning, the goal was a world-class tyre line targeted at luxury and premium vehicles. Our Assurance line of tyres were built with this objective,” said Mike Parnell, Goodyear’s vice president, original equipment tyres.
