Continental AG Appoints Uniroyal Distributor in Australia

(Brisbane/Australian Tyre Dealer) Continental Corporation, one of the world’s leading automotive industry suppliers and the largest tyre manufacturer in Germany, has appointed Hamilton Tyre & Rubber Company Pty Ltd as the Uniroyal tyre distributor for Australia effective immediately.

Hamilton Tyre & Rubber Company Pty Ltd (HTR Co.), has signed a deal with Continental whereby HTR Co agreed to distribute the Uniroyal brand exclusively to service the tyre dealer network in Australia.

It will distribute Uniroyal in the passenger car tyre range and 4×4 including the Rallye, Rain Sport 1, Rain Max and 4×4 Street patterns.

“We are delighted to be associated with a high quality European brand such as Uniroyal. We believe this partnership will generate synergistic benefits for both Continental Corporation and HTR Co.” said Charles Millard, chief executive officer of HTR Co.

He said the company was entirely committed to the successful introduction of the Uniroyal products into the Australian market. “We would not take on an expansion such as this without having confidence in the quality and performance of the Uniroyal range” he added.

HTR Co is a second-generation family owned and operated company, with an annual turnover in excess of A$35million and distributes nationally a complete range of Passenger, LVR, LTR, industrial, agricultural, earthmover & truck products.

Uniroyal tyres are a brand of Continental AG. The Continental Corporation is also the No. 1 supplier in the OE market in Europe, and supplies tyres to major car brands such as Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi, Volvo, jaguar and Volkswagen.
