Bridgestone Renews PR Contract for Sixth Year
Bridgestone UK has renewed its contract with PR specialists Nexnet for the sixth consecutive year. The Leeds-based agency has been retained by the tyre company to continue handling all its UK corporate, business-to-business and consumer PR throughout 2006.
In addition to all media relations, Nexnet will also advise on and execute a programme to support its independent network of tyre dealerships, First Stop, as well as promoting Bridgestone’s support of the global Think Before You Drive campaign – run in association with the FIA Foundation and the RAC Foundation.
“We have found Nexnet’s practical, no-nonsense approach to delivering tangible results very refreshing,” said Andy Dingley, senior marketing analyst with Bridgestone UK. ”We’ve enjoyed some excellent results this year, and look forward to exceeding those achievements as we continue to move forward.”
Nexnet first won the Bridgestone contract through a competitive pitch in November 2000. Continuity of team members and unrivalled knowledge of the tyre industry has led to the development of the successful relationship with Bridgestone, the world’s largest manufacturer of tyres and rubber products.
