Matador Reveals New Logo
Matador has revealed a new corporate identity. The Slovakian tyre manufacturer and equipment specialist announced the moves following an enormous publicity drive, which has even seen the company invest in corporate informercials on TV channels like CNN and BBC World.
This year the company celebrated its centenary and saw the occasion as a good opportunity to “modernise and create a better impression about Matador’s work.” Use of the new corporate identity will come into effect from 17 October, when it will replace the old logo.
The new design was created by Dutchman Gerard de Boer and will be used by all Matador divisions. Changeover to the new logo will be carried out in several steps and the whole process is expected to be completed by April 2006.
According to Matador, the new logo reflects the company’s ambition to penetrate further into the tyre and automotive markets in an effort to improve the innovation of Matador products and the technical finish and flexibility of the company. “It shows sport dynamism and enthusiasm related to the motorsport area which has in recent years proved the point about performance of Matador products,” a company statement read.
“I firmly believe that the new logo represents the new form of Matador communication skills and will bring many positive changes to the company. The new logo expresses not only the work done in the last period but represents our vision for the future. We want to be an up-to-date flexible European company,” said Matador a.s. president, Stefan Rosina PhD.
